The following morning we woke up early and drove back to town so Scott could go to school. Walked into my house to find the cutest puppy ever waiting for me which I am sooooo stoked on. She's actually adorable; so sweet, doesn't bark, doesn't chew, isn't hyper, loves everyone and she rules even though she shits everywhere. We still haven't named her so leave some cute names if you have any, my family is useless as far as naming animals goes. Or just come over and visit! Whatever works.

That night, Scott, G, Wiseman and I drove all the way down to Buffalo for Converge with Ceremony, Rise and Fall, Coliseum, and Pulling Teeth, obviously an unreal line-up. The drive was alright, but Buffalo has to be one of my least favourite places to be now, definately unimpressed! The show was sweet though, I was exhausted from the night before so I basically just stood and watched the whole night. Pulling Teeth played an unreal set even though I was pretty much out of the room. I was kind of disappointed by Coliseum but everyone else seemed to really enjoy them. Ceremony did not disappoint and Converge was as awesome as I thought they'd be (I really am the worst critic, fuck). Aaaaanyway blah blah blah it was fun!
Somehow made it to big band rehearsal the next night as much as I didn't feel like making the 3 hour trip. Definately got a confidence boost though, played better than most nights and really showed why I'm on lead. Yeah, I'm cocky as fuck.
Anyway, this weeks gonna be ridiculously packed full of music again, only more so performances and master classes than shows. Rah's tomorrow night, probably gonna go to that then party downtown for the night. Rehearsal Saturday, going to my friends' ep release show on Sunday. Richard Marshell is coming out from England this week which I'm pretty stoked on. I know no one reading this has any idea who that is, but he's the principal cornet player of the Black Dyke Mills Band in the UK, which for those of you who don't know (and probably don't even care) is the best brass band in the world, making Richard one of the best players out there today. Either way, my section in Hannaford gets a class with him Wednesday, and I being the ultra band geek I am am pretty stoked. It's actually a really great opportunity. AND, he's staying at my teacher's place while he's here so I might even get a private lesson.
fuck my life.
So that's Wednesday. Thursday I have an extra rehearsal with Hannaford for our concert Friday at the Jane Mallet theatre downtown, showcasing a few of our soloists, and the Salvation Army Youth Band who we get to play with. Another piece of useless shinfo: I'm stoked on this too cause Salvation Army kids are pretty much the best players considering they've been raised to play since before they could spell. So if anyone's actually interested that should be pretty cool to see. And theeeeen, Saturday rehearsal with Hannaford and then we get another master class from Joe Alessi, the prinicipal trombone player of the New York Philharmonic and professor at Juliard. So stoked on music again.
Anyway, that's my boring life, if you actually read this far, sorry for wasting your time. It was, afterall, just another boring useless post. As always.
