For anyone who missed Brutal Knights last night, you fucking suck. Such a good night, nothing but rowdyness and good times. The perfect way to end a sweet day downtown. As expected, Urban Blight, Brutal Knights, Inepsy, and all the bands played an awesome set. Walked away with a few bruises and a busted shoulder, and a bunch of new friends.
The day basically started at 6am getting my shit together and catching a bus downtown, as every Saturday morning has gone this year. Had rehearsal for 3 hours at U of T, then bummed around there till 2:30 when I had my audition. Which, thank god, went pretty alright, considering my accompanist didn't show up and I had to play without a piano. Either way it was a lot quicker than I expected, only played about 30 seconds of each song, had to play a scale, ear training, sight reading, the basics, and a suprisingly short interview. I don't really know how to feel about it but I really fucking hope I get in, I'm already looking for places to live next year.
After the audition was done I caught the subway up to Eglington and met up with my ex and his friends who were spending the afternoon celebrating St. Patty's day early, the Irish way. Took a few shots, drank a few beers, sang a few folk songs then took the subway back down to Union station. From there I grabbed more rum, hung out with some strangers then walked to Adrift with Scott who was nice enough to walk and meet me. The show was great, stoked on new friends, not so stoked on the possibility of there not being another Adrift show though. Also not so stoked on having to wake up at 7 this morning to work till 4. Fuck responsibilty.
Anway, I'm gonna go cut up some t-shirts. I'm feeling creative.
