So I'm 20. Wicked. Not stoked to leave the teenage years but I feel like I got a lot out of them and I'm definitely not ready to slow down yet. My birthday was a fun one, had some of my favourite people come out to Waterloo to party, minus my sister which was a bummer.
School's been pretty alright, weaseled my way into playing in the next orchestra concert which I'm pretty excited for. Also stoked for Every Time I Die, Polar Bear Club and Trapped Under Ice tomorrow night, in Kitchener, fuck yea. Not to mention A Wilhelm Scream on Saturday in Guelph.
On a less cool note, I didn't get into CG so I won't be moving away and joining the army this summer, but there's always next year. Although it was a wicked audition, recent funding cut backs in the military made the competition a little tougher, but they gave me a huge ego boost and told me to definitely try again next year. So that sucks, looks like I won't be making $10 000 this summer, but now I get to stay back with my friends, hopefully find a wicked job, maybe start teaching, and probably work on staff at the National Music Camp. That's right. Band camp.
Besides unreal amounts of practicing and studying, not a lot else has happened. Obviously parties, but nothing to write home about. A month and a half and I'll be home again, and back in the city causing trouble.
PS. new Against Me! leaked, not so good imo, but other people seem to be stoked. Should check that out if you can.
