the perfect ratio of charms to cereal

The sun is back! Finally! After a few dreary days we're back on track for summer. Had a busy day today, full of rehearsals and practicing and lessons, not to mention classes, one of which I had to be up for at 7 am so I could do a singing test before the class. Least fun ever. Besides that though, I'm finding it ridiculous how less stressed I get during finals and exams compared to the rest of the semester. I have free time..? Where did that come from? Pretty stoked!
Anyway, I got the chance to play with the WLU Orchestra this weekend in Ravel's Bolero at Center in the Square, Waterloo, if anyone's interested in coming. Not to mention they're playing Stravinsky's Firebird so it's gonna be a hell of a show. If you're a music nerd like me that is. More importantly though! I'm playing with the WLU Wind Orchestra next Thursday evening which is gonna be a sick show. The theme is "Smile" so we're playing compositions based on circus themes and cartoons and such with cartoons playing in the background. It's actually an unreal program, we're also playing another Stravinsky piece, Circus Polka, which I practiced my ass off so someone better come!
Can't wait to finish my exams so I can go home and pretend to look for a job while I ride bikes, drink beers and sit on my ass all day. Meanwhile I'll just stress over my Jury. I'm posting two videos of two of the songs I have to play if anyone's interested in hearing some trumpet rep. Which I'm sure no one is but I'm gonna do it anyway because it's my blog and I'll do what I want.
Anyway, gonna go study to some overdue Planet Earth. Too much love for David Attenborough
